How to create a new menu in Mews POS

You create a menu in Mews POS to define which food and drink items are available during service. You do this in the Mews POS web dashboard. As a staff member working in a hotel restaurant, bar, or other outlet, you create a menu when setting up a new service or updating offerings. This ensures the right items appear in the Mews POS app, so wait staff can take accurate and efficient orders.

 

To create a new menu in Mews POS,

1. In the Mews POS web dashboard, click Menus.
2. Click Create menu. This opens the Create new menu screen.

3. Complete the following fields:

1. • Menu name: Enter the name of the menu
   • Description: Enter a description of the menu. Note: This field is optional. However, Mews recommends that you complete it, to make it easier for wait staff  and guests to identify.

 

4. Click Continue.
5. Under Outlets, to enable the menu for those outlets, click the check boxes .
6. Click Continue.

After you create the menu, you can add menu sections and products to build it out.
