You add sections to a menu in Mews POS to group items into categories that your staff and guests can easily identify. You complete this task in the Mews POS web dashboard when you create or update a menu. As a staff member working in a restaurant, bar, or other outlet, adding sections helps wait staff find menu items faster in the Mews POS app.
To add sections to a menu in Mews POS,
- In the Mews POS web dashboard, click Menus.
- Click the menu you want to edit. This opens the Create menu screen.
- Click Add menu section.
- Click the section name to edit it.
- Enter a name for the section.
For example, Starters, Main Courses, or Cocktails. - Repeat steps 3 to 5 to add more sections.
- Click and drag
next to a section to change its order.
- Click the icon next to a section name and select Delete to remove it.
Note: You must add at least one section before you can add products to a menu.
Next, you can add products to the sections.
