A well-structured menu helps staff take orders quickly and reduces mistakes. In Mews POS, menus are organized into sections like drinks, starters, or main courses, making it easy to find the right items during service. Menus can display dietary and allergen information, helping staff answer guest questions while taking orders.
You first create menus in the Mews POS web dashboard and assign them to specific sections. You can filter menus by allergens or dietary restrictions and set when menus are available, helping avoid ordering mistakes. Staff then access these menus in the Mews POS Android app when taking orders and can quickly add items to an order.
Note: To add a menu item to an order, you need to update your Mews POS Android app to version 4.4.1.2 or above. You can learn how to check your app version in the help article How to check the Android App version of Mews POS.
To add a menu item to an order using the Mews POS Android app:
- From the open order screen, tap
.
- On the Products screen, tap the Menus tab.
- Tap on a menu name to open it.
- The system displays the menu sections as tabs. You can click between sections, Filter your products, or type to seach for specifics.
- Tap on a menu item to add it to the order.
This adds the menu item to the open order.
