How to create upsells to increase revenue in Mews Operations

You use upsells to offer additional products or services to guests during the guest journey, such as online booking, check in, or kiosk arrival. In Mews Operations, you can configure upsells directly from the Upsells section in the main menu to promote products to guests.

Upsells help you increase revenue and improve the guest experience by offering relevant services, for example, parking, breakfast, or early check in, while also automating follow-up tasks.

With upsell configuration, you decide where and when to offer products to guests. You can:

  • Promote different products in the Booking Engine, Online check-in, and Kiosk
  • Exclude upsells that conflict with items already on the reservation
  • Target specific rate groups or space categories to tailor offers.

This prevents guests from seeing duplicate offers and ensures they only see relevant options based on their booking. For example, if a guest has already purchased a breakfast-inclusive rate, you can hide additional breakfast upsells during check in, avoiding confusion and refunds.
