How to delete a service configuration from a local product in Mews Multi-Property

In Mews Multi-Property, local products can be linked to central products so they can be managed more easily across multiple properties. If a local product is no longer needed for a specific service, such as breakfast or parking, you can delete its service configuration directly from the central product. This helps keep your product setup clean and prevents guests from selecting services you no longer offer.

Note: You cannot delete a service-level product if:

  • A guest can book it or add it to a reservation,
  • It maps to an active channel manager,
  • It is part of an open reservation, or
  • It has active dependent products.

  2. Click the central product that has the local product linked to it, then click the Properties tab.
  3. Click Forward next to the property that has the local product assigned to it, then click the Services tab.
  4. Click Delete  next to the service configuration you want to delete, then click Delete.
  5. After you confirm deletion, the system shows a success or error notification:
    • Success notification: The system successfully deleted the product from the service within the property. The service configuration is no longer listed in the local product service tab.
    • Error notification: The system could not delete the product because it is in use by the service.

This deletes the service configuration from a local product linked to a central product.
