You can delete local products in Mews Multi-Property to organize and update your product offering for certain properties. Local products are specific to a service and you can delete them individually or in bulk. Deleting a local product removes it from the service within the property it is configured to. You can only delete a local product via the Products screen, in the Local products tab in Mews Multi-Property.
Note: You cannot delete a local product if:
- A guest can book it or add it to a reservation,
- It maps to an active channel manager,
- It is part of an open reservation, or
- It has active dependent products.
To delete a local product:
- In your portfolio account, go to the main menu
> Products.
- Click the Local products tab, then:
- Check the box next to the product you want to delete, then click Delete > Delete, or
- Click
next to the product you want to delete, then click Delete product > Delete.
- After you confirm deletion, the system shows a success or error notification:
- Success notification: The system successfully deletes the product from the service within the property. You now cannot access the service configuration on the local product service tab.
- Error notification: The system could not delete the product from one or more configured services within the property because it is in use by one or more of these services. The local product remains until you resolve this.
This deletes the local product.
