Mews Multi-Property

You can use the Products section of Mews Multi-Property to import and link local products from your properties to centralized products. This lets you manage product consistency across your portfolio. You do this during the onboarding phase or when updating property configurations. You can download the Excel import template and enter your products, then import them to Mews to link local and central products via the Central product key. To do so, you first need to create the central products.

Note
  • The Excel file you download contains only absolute local products that are not already linked to central products. The system removes previously linked local products from the Excel file on download. You can reuse an existing excel file, as the system discounts already linked products. 
  • There are no automatic overrides of local products. The system links products only once the file processes. Local products don't receive information from central products. 
  • If you reuse an Excel file and enter a new central product key for a product that is already linked, the system does not update or change the link. You cannot edit or remove links using the Excel import.

Import existing products into Mews Multi-Property 

To upload existing products: 

  1. In your portfolio account, go to the main menu Menu arrow right   > Settings > Entity mapping. 
  2. Click the Entity mapping type dropdown to select Product.

  1. Click Download template. This saves the Excel file to your device. Click to open it and enter your product details. Note: The Excel file includes only products that are not already linked to a central product. 
  2. To upload your products, click or drag the Excel file into the File area above, or click Choose file. 
  3. Click Import.  

 

This imports your existing products to Mews Multi-Property. You can view them on the Products screen. 

 

Linking existing local products to central products 

Note:  

  • You can only link products that already exist in your property. To import new local products, add them directly in property settings before linking. 
  • You cannot use the Excel file to change or remove existing links. 

 

To link existing local products: 

  1. In your portfolio account, go to the main menu Menu arrow right  > Products.  
  2. Create a Central product. Make a note of its Central Product key.  
  3. In the Excel file template you download, find the local products you want to link to and enter the key in the corresponding field in the Central product key column. 
  4. Click or drag the Excel file into the File area or click Choose file.

  1. Click Import.  

This imports your existing local products to Mews Multi-Property and automatically links them to the central product that corresponds to the Central product key.
