You use the Services section of Mews Multi‑Property to link existing local services from your properties to newly created central services. This helps you manage service consistency across your portfolio. You do this during onboarding or when transitioning from local to centralized configuration.
To link services, each local service must have a Service key that matches the key of the central service. Once the keys are in place, you can create the central service and link the local services to it.
Note
- Local services must already exist in each property. You cannot import new services using Excel.
- Linking does not override property-level settings. Local services retain their own configuration.
- You cannot edit or remove links using the Excel file.
In this article, you can learn about:
How to import and link existing services in Mews Multi-Property
Step 1: Create a service key
Before you can link local services to a central service, each local service must have a Service key.
- In your portfolio account, go to the main menu
> Settings > Entity mapping.
- In the Entity mapping type dropdown, select Service.
- Click Download template to export an Excel file of all unlinked services.
- In the Service key column, enter the same key for all local services you want to link together.
- Save the file.
- Drag and drop the Excel file into the upload area, or click Choose file, then click Import.
For example, if all properties offer the same late check-out service, enter the key late checkout for each one.
The Service key must match exactly across all local services and the future central service.
Step 2: Create a central service
Once your local services have keys, create the central version of the service. You can learn more in the help article How to create new services in Mews Multi‑Property.
- In your portfolio account, go to the main menu
> Services.
- Click Create service.
- Configure the service to match the behavior of your existing local services.
- Enter the Service key used in the previous step.
- Click Next and complete the remaining steps.
- Click Save to save the service.
For example, create a central version of the late check-out service with the key late checkout.
Step 3: Link existing local services to a central service
Once both the local services and central service share the same key, you can link them together.
- In Mews Multi‑Property, go to the main menu
> Services.
- Find the central service you want to link and click
> Link existing.
- In the Link existing services window, search using the Service key.
- Select the local services you want to link.
- Click Save.
The local services are now linked to the central service. You can see them listed under the Properties tab of the central service.
Note:
- Linking only applies to services with a matching key. The system does not override any local settings. For example, a breakfast service you configure in the PMS last year, you can now centrally manage it without affecting property-specific customisations.
