You assign a service in Mews Multi‑Property to make it available at one or more properties in your portfolio. This allows properties to use the service in Mews Operations with shared defaults. You typically assign a service after creating it, or when adding a new property to your portfolio. You do this from the Services screen in Mews Multi‑Property.

Assign a service to one or multiple properties in Mews Multi‑Property
You can start the assignment in two ways:
- In Mews Multi-Property, go to the main menu
> Services:
- Locate the service you want to assign and click Assign to property

Both options open the Assign service to property form.
Step 1: Select properties
- In Mews Multi‑Property, go to the main menu
> Services.
- Select a service and click Assign to property, or open the service side panel and click Assign to property.
- In the Property selection step, click the Select properties* dropdown.
- Select one or more properties. Select one property to apply granular customisations.
Note:
- The list excludes properties where the service or a service with the same service key already exists.
- You can search the list if more than 50 properties exist.
- Select multiple properties to apply the same settings in bulk. For example, assign a breakfast service to all city hotels at once.
Step 2: Customising service details
- Review the Details step.
- Click Next or update the pre-filled service information.
Note:
- The system copies fields from the central service.
- Changes apply to all properties you select. For example, update the short name to match local branding.
Step 3: Adjusting configuration settings
- Review the Configuration step.
- Adjust settings such as reservation assignment, availability, or guest experience options.
- Enter Arrival time and Departure time.
- Click Next.
Note:
- Arrival time and departure time are mandatory fields to continue.
- Configuration changes apply to all selected properties. For example, align check-in times across a regional group of hotels.
Step 4: Setting local property-level details
- Review the Local settings step.
- Set property-specific information, including Taxes, Documents, Employee Experience, and Accounting.
- For Day, Night, Month, or Hour services:
- Local settings: Taxes, shared documents, employee experience details, accounting classification.
- For services with a bookable period of None:
- Local settings: Pricing, taxes, shared documents, employee experience details, accounting classification.
Note: All services start with a free-of-charge value of 0.00. For example, apply a city tax only to properties in a specific location.
- Click Save.
You can now use the service in the selected properties with the correct local configuration.
