How to edit or delete a central rate in Mews Multi-Property

You can update the details of a central rate at any time as your rate strategy evolves, or delete it if it is no longer needed. Changes you make to a central rate apply across your portfolio without you having to update the rate at each property. You can access both actions from the Central rates tab or from the rate's Details panel.

 

Before deleting a central rate, you must remove all property assignments.

 

You need a system admin or revenue manager role to edit or delete central rates.

Editing a central rate

From the Central rates tab

  1. In Mews Multi Property, go to the main menu main menu > Rates.

  1. On the Central rates tab, find the rate you want to edit.
  2. Click the actions menu (⋮) on the rate row and click Edit.

From the Details panel

  1. In Mews Multi Property, go to the main menu main menu > Rates.

  1. On the Central rates tab, find the rate you want to edit.
  2. Open the Details side panel: click the rate name, or click the actions menu (⋮) on the rate row and click View details.
  3. In the top right of the Details side panel, click edit icon Edit.

  2. Click Save.

 

Note: Rate type is read-only. You cannot change it after creating a rate.

Description

 

Name

The rate name used in Mews Multi Property.

Short name

An abbreviated name that appears in reports or where space is limited.

Description

A description of the rate.

Visibility

Sets the rate as Private or Public.

Rate key

A unique code that identifies the rate across your portfolio.

Ordering

Controls the display order of the rate in lists.

Rate group

The rate group this rate belongs to.

Rate type

Read-only. Set at creation. Base rate or Dependent rate.

Status

Enables or disables the rate.

Default reservation purpose

The default purpose assigned to reservations using this rate.

Pricing classification

The pricing classification for this rate.

 
 
 

Mews saves your changes to the central rate.

 

Deleting a central rate

Note: Deletion is permanent. You must remove all property assignments from a rate before you can delete it.

From the Central rates tab

  1. In Mews Multi Property, go to the main menu main menu > Rates.

  1. On the Central rates tab, find the rate you want to delete.
  2. Click the actions menu (⋮) on the rate row and click Delete.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete to confirm.

From the Details panel

  1. In Mews Multi Property, go to the main menu main menu > Rates.

  1. On the Central rates tab, find the rate you want to delete.
  2. Open the Details side panel: click the rate name, or click the actions menu (⋮) on the rate row and click Details.
  3. In the top right of the Details panel, click Delete.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete to confirm.

 

Mews removes the central rate from Mews Multi Property.
