Cancellation policies determine how the system handles canceled reservations. These policies determine when and how a guest can cancel their reservation and any financial implications. You can modify or delete these cancellation policies at any time in Mews Multi-Property.
When you modify or delete a cancellation policy, the system updates it for all rate groups and properties where it is applied. Once you delete it, you cannot restore it. You can learn more about cancellation policies on a property-level here.
Note: Modifying a cancellation policy does not affect existing reservations.

How to modify a cancellation policy
- In Mews Multi-Property, go to the main menu
> Policies > Cancellation.
- Click the policy you want to edit.
- In the side-window, click the Details tab then
.
- Modify your cancellation policy details. Note: Once you apply a cancellation policy to a rate or rate group, you cannot edit the Bookable period field.
- Click Save.
This modifies your cancellation policy details.
How to delete a cancellation policy
- In Mews Multi-Property, go to the main menu
> Policies > Cancellation.
- Click the policy you want to edit.
- In the side-window, click
Delete.
- To confirm, click Delete again.
This deletes the cancellation policy.
