How to enable a new Mews feature in the live environment

A new Mews feature is a functionality that becomes available after the product teams' development and testing are complete. You can enable new features to enhance operational efficiency or deliver a better guest experience. You typically enable a feature in the live environment after you or other customers have tested it in the demo environment. You do this in Mews Operations, with the help of your Mews Customer Success Manager or the Mews support team.

  • Some features may require configuration steps after activation.
  • Always test new features in your demo environment before requesting access in the live environment. 

To enable a new Mews feature in the live environment: 

  1. Log in to your Mews Operations demo environment and identify the feature you want to try.
  2. Test the feature thoroughly in the demo environment to ensure it suits your property's needs.
  3. If you are confident the feature is beneficial, contact Mews to request early access.
    • Contact your Customer Success Manager or submit a support ticket through the Mews Digital Assistant. 
  1. Mews checks your eligibility to participate in the live testing phase.
  2. If eligible, Mews,
    • enables the feature in your live environment for early access.
    • shares early access documentation to help you explore and navigate the feature or improvement.
  1. Use the feature in your live environment and provide feedback if requested.
  2. Once released publicly, you can continue using the feature as part of your live configuration. 

 

You can now enable a new Mews feature in the live environment.
