How to enable course levels and configure the sequence in which courses appear in Mews POS

Effective communication between waiters and the kitchen is crucial for a smooth dinner experience for your guests. When configuring courses within Mews POS, you can configure the sequence of appearance as they appear within the Mews POS app and on printed tickets. 


The courses appear in the configured sequence on the printed ticket regardless of the sequence the guests request items at the time of ordering. The waiter adds the items to the correct course at the time of the order, and the courses display in the configured sequence on the printed ticket.
 

Note: 

  • If multiple courses have the same order number, the first condition is the sequence in which you configured that they appear, and the second condition is the sequence in which waiters add them to the cart. 

  • If you do not configure the sequence in which your courses should appear, the system prints courses in the sequence your waiters add them to the cart. 

 

To enable course levels and configure the sequence of their appearance, 

  1. From the Mews POS web dashboard, click Settings.
  2. Click General.
  3. Courses: Displays a list of the currently configured courses.
    Note: To create new courses, click Create
  1. Click and drag  up or down to change the sequence in which you want the said course to appear.



  2. Restart the Mews POS app to apply the changes.

The printed kitchen ticket now displays the configured sequence of courses.
