When you export services from a quote in Mews Events (EMS), the integration automatically adds the related billing items to the unpaid items section in the customer’s billing profile in Mews Operations (PMS). This lets you generate invoices that include all services from the quote and manage them in one place, directly from the PMS. Your quote services from Mews Events become products on the bill or invoice in Mews Operations. You can export services only for an approved quote, starting seven days before the event and up until the end of the first event day. 

 

Note: Once exported from Mews Events, you cannot export services again for the same quote. You need to make any changes on the event booker’s bill, or manually in the customer's profile in Mews Operations.

Requirements before you export 

Before you can export the services, make sure that: 

• Products appear under additional services in Mews Operations with relevant categories, for example, Catering or Supplementary services. 
• You imported these products into Mews Events using the Sync with PMS flow. 
• You created a quote in Mews Events using imported products as services. 
• The quote is in Approved status. 

 

How to export services from an approved quote in Mews Events as billable items in Mews Operations 

To export services from an approved quote in Mews Events do the following: 

1. In Mews Events, go to main menu > Quotes. 
2. Click Approved to open the list of quotes.  
3. Click    for the respective quote. 
4. Click View details and then Export services to PMS.  
5. Review the following details for each service: 
   • Product 
   • Quantity 
   • Price
   • Date
   • Accounting category  
6. Click Export. This opens the informative pop-up.  
     
7. Click Export again to confirm. 

This exports EMS services. They now appear as unpaid product items in the guest’s profile Billing in Mews Operations.
