How to modify restriction settings for availability blocks in Mews Operations

You modify restriction settings for availability blocks when you want to control whether availability block rates follow restrictions you set at the property level. You do this in Mews Operations, in Settings > Property, to prevent global restrictions, such as minimum length of stay or closed to stay, from affecting your availability blocks during reservation pickup. This setting applies to all new and future availability blocks. You cannot apply the setting to availability blocks that already exist. Restrictions applied through integrated systems do not affect availability blocks.

Note:  
  • You need Admin permissions in Mews Operations to manage this setting. 
  • If you exclude them from global restrictions, availability blocks do not consider any global restrictions during reservation pickup. 

 

To exclude availability blocks from global restrictions: 

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu menu  > Settings > Property. 
  2. Scroll to the Options section. 
  3. Select the option Exclude availability blocks from global restrictions.

  1. Click Save. 

 

    This excludes the availability blocks from global restrictions.
