What is the e-invoicing mandate in France

From 1 September 2026, electronic invoicing and electronic reporting become mandatory for certain transactions in France. Properties must exchange invoices through Peppol, a secure and standardized network recognized across the European Union.

Here are some important updates:

• Mews has selected Invopop as our e-invoicing partner after a thorough evaluation of commercial terms, technical compatibility, and long-term scalability. Both Mews and Invopop engineering teams are already collaborating closely to meet regulatory deadlines and ensure the solution works as expected. Note: This partner is a certified Plateforme de Dématérialisation Partenaire (PDP) and Peppol Access Point.
• Mews engineering teams are working closely with the provider to build, test, and implement the e-invoicing solution. The future solution is an integration via Mews Marketplace. When you set up and enable the integration, the system automatically transfers invoice data through Invopop for Peppol-compliant issuance. Note: Mews will update this article with instructions on how to set up the integration once the engineering teams finalize the solution.
