How to send a reservation to Mews Kiosk from Mews Operations

You send a reservation to Mews Kiosk when a guest needs to complete their check in or check out on their own. You do this from the reservation dashboard in Mews Operations, usually when guests arrive at reception and the front desk is busy. This helps reduce queues and gives guests a self-service option to finish their process quickly. 

 

You send a reservation to Mews Kiosk when: 

  • A guest arrives at reception, but staff are handling other tasks or helping other guests 
  • You want to offer guests a faster, self-service check in or check out experience 
  • A reservation is ready to be checked in or checked out, and the kiosk is available and ready.

 


Note

  • To use this feature, your kiosk must be updated to the latest version. 

 

How to send a reservation to Mews Kiosk from Mews Operations

  1. In Mews Operations, use the search bar to find the reservation you want to send.
  2. Click the reservation you want to send. 
  3. In the Spaces section of the reservation, make sure the status is To check in or To check out. 
  4. Click Send to Kiosk next to the assigned space. Note: You can send only reservations with a status of “To check in” or “To check out” to Mews Kiosk. If you have multiple kiosks, you can select one from the dropdown.

This sends the reservation to the kiosk. You can now direct the guest to the kiosk to complete the process. Once the guest completes the required steps, the reservation status updates automatically in Mews Operations.
