How to set up a passport scanner

To add a passport scanner to your Mews environment, follow these steps:

 

  1. Add Mews passport scanner integration:
    1. Navigate to Main menu > Marketplace.
    2. Search for Passport Scanner integration and add it to your Mews Marketplace.
    3. Click on Edit and select Passport scanner on the left side.
    4. A new window opens, click on the "+" button in the top right corner.
    5. Add a new name to the scanner (you might have to check which name to use with the passport scanner company you are using).
    6. Click Create. 
    7. Enable the integration.

 

  1. Add the third-party passport scanner integration you are using:
    1. In the Marketplace, search for the integration you are using.
    2. Open the integration.
    3. Under Connected Devices add the passport scanner you have created in the previous steps.
    4. Enable the integration.
    5. Click Save.

 

 

  1. Check you have the Passport scan button in the reservations:
    1. Go to any reservation.
    2. In the Status tab, check that you have the scanner button next to the Registration cards one.
