Verifying your identity and re-authorizing your account in Mews Operations each time you add a new user, download a report containing sensitive information, for example, the Reservation report, or access areas of the system which contain sensitive data, ensures your account security and prevents unauthorized access. System administrators, or users with permissions to add new users, need to perform this action when creating new user accounts, or when prompted for additional verification when managing reports. You can begin this process within Mews Operations, then verify your identity by clicking the email link you receive in your linked email account.

Note:
- If you encounter issues during verification, ensure your email address is accurate and check your spam or junk folder for the validation email. Contact Mews Support for assistance if the problem persists.
- Once you verify your identity, you have a 60-minute window before you need to verify your identity and re-authorize your account again.

To verify your identity and reauthorize your account in Mews Operations when:
Adding a new user
- In Mews Operations, go to the main menu
> Settings > Users.
- Select Add a new user in the property, as below:
- Enter the new user’s information and click Send invite.
- The system displays the following verification confirmation:
- Click Send link. This sends the verification link to your email registered with Mews.
- In a new tab or browser window, open your email account you have registered with Mews. Note: Do not close the screen while performing the email verification.
- Look for an email from Mews prompting you to validate your action titled "Verify your identity".
- Open the email and click Verify now to confirm your identity:
- Return to Mews Operations and wait for the page to automatically refresh, as below:
This verifies your identity and reauthorizes your account to complete the action. Click Continue to return to Mews.
If the system cannot verify your identity, you see the following:
Click Go back and repeat the process to resend the email.

Downloading a reservation report
- In Mews Operations, go to the main menu
> Reservations > Reservation report.
- On the Reservation report screen, click Export:
- This prompts the same verification confirmation as previously. Follow steps 5-9 to verify your identity and re-authorize your account to complete the reservation report download.
