How to view active billing automations in Mews Operations

You view your active billing automations in Mews Operations to confirm that automated billing rules apply correctly to guest reservations. You do this when you need to check which items are routing automatically and verify that bills reflect the correct ownership. You can view this information during the reservation process, or after you create the reservation, in the Reservation summary panel or the Billing screen.

Identify when billing automation is applied 

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu main menu  >Reservations screen. 
  2. Select a reservation. 
  3. During the reservation process, look for the notification that indicates billing automation is applied. 
    • The notification appears when the reservation meets the automation’s conditions. 
    • The notification differs depending on the automation timing: 
      • Continuous: This reservation is continuously updated by the {Billing Automation name} billing automation. 
      • Recurring: This reservation is periodically updated by the {Billing Automation name} billing automation. 

You can now identify when a billing automation applies to a reservation. 

 

View billing automation details 

  1. From the open reservation, view the Reservation summary panel. 
  2. Review the automation details displayed in the summary. 
  3. To see more information, open the Billing screen. 
    1. In this screen, you can view which items are routed by automation and which remain with the reservation owner. 

You can now view the active billing automation for the reservation. 

 

Verify items routed by automation 

  1. In the Billing screen, review the bill structure. 
  2. Check that all routed items appear on the correct bill based on the automation configuration. 
  3. Confirm that new or updated items are being automatically assigned after changes to the reservation. 

You can now verify that billing automation is applied, and routing is correct across all reservations.
