Managing Property groups in Mews Multi-Property

In Mews Multi-Property, you can create and manage custom groups of properties within your portfolio. This helps you to organize and manage your portfolio, by grouping your properties according to shared features, such as country, city, or currency. You can customize your Property groups and save time by creating rates and vouchers directly from the Property groups screen.  

 

You can use Property groups to: 

  • Standardize your rates and vouchers between properties with similar settings.  
  • Create dynamic pricing or unique rate/ voucher strategies per group. 
  • Group properties under the same brand, for brand-specific monitoring and reporting.  
  • Group properties by type, to manage package deals. 
  • Group properties in specific regions together to strategize rates and distribution or assign them to a particular Revenue Manager. 

 

You can add to existing Property groups or create new groups. You can add multiple properties to a group at once, using the multi-select function. Note: You can only add those properties to Property groups that exist within your portfolio. 

 

To manage Property groups in your portfolio account: 

  1. Log in to Mews Operations. Click the profile menu on the top-right of the screen. This opens a drop-down containing the portfolios and/ or properties you have access to, as below: 


  1. Scroll or use the search bar to locate your portfolio and click on the name to open it. This takes you to your portfolio Properties screen, where you can add properties to Property groups. You can see which groups a property belongs to listed in the Property groups column: 

 

  1. Go to the main menu > Property groups. 

This opens the Property groups screen, where you can see your properties organized into groups you assign them to. You can create bulk rates and vouchers to assign to specific property groups. Add to an existing property group 

You can add properties from your portfolio to existing property groups from the Properties screen in Mews Multi-Property. You can add properties individually, or in bulk.

  

To add an individual property to an existing property group:  

  1. In your portfolio account, go to the main menu > Properties.  

  1. Click to select the checkbox next to the name of the property you want to add to an existing group. In the blue bar that appears, click . This opens the following window: 

 

  1. Click on the Existing group tab.  

  1. Click the Property groups* drop-down and select the property group you want to add the property to.  

  1. Click Add. This adds the property to the group. You can view the added property within the corresponding property on the Property groups screen. 

 

To add multiple properties to an existing property group: 

 

You can add as many properties to property groups as you want. Use the checkboxes next to the property's name to select individually, or the checkbox next to the number of properties at the top to select all properties. You can see the number of properties you select in the blue notification bar: 

 

  1. In the blue bar that appears, click . In the screen that appears, you can see a notification showing the number of properties you select: 

 

  1. Click on the Existing group tab.  

  1. Click the Property groups* drop-down and select the property group you want to add the properties to.  

  1. Click Add. You can view your additions on the Property groups screen. 

 

Delete a property group 

You can delete property groups directly from the Property groups screen. Note: Once deleted, you cannot restore your property group.  

 

To delete a property group: 

  1. In your portfolio account, go to the main menu > Property groups. 

  1. Click to select the checkbox next to the name of the property group(s) you want to delete.  

 

  1. To delete the property group: 

  • Click Delete in the blue bar that appears, OR, 
  • Click the icon and select Delete property group. 
  1. In the notification message that appears, click Delete. Note: Once deleted, you cannot restore your property group: 

 

This deletes your property group and removes it from the list in the Property groups screen.
