In Mews Multi-Property, you can create rates and vouchers for custom groups of properties called Property groups, you set up in Mews Multi-Property. You can organize and manage your portfolio’s rates and vouchers by creating them directly from the Property groups screen. All employees with access to your portfolio can create Property groups. You can also import and update existing rates for your property groups via the Rates screen. You can learn more about this here.
You can create rates and vouchers for specific Property groups to:
- Standardize your rates and vouchers between properties with similar settings.
- Create dynamic pricing or unique rate/ voucher strategies per group.
- Create rates and vouchers for property groups in specific regions, to strategize rates and distribution.

To create rates and vouchers for specific Property groups in your portfolio account:

Log in to Mews Operations. Click the profile menu on the top-right of the screen. This opens a drop-down containing the portfolios and/ or properties you have access to, as below:

Scroll or use the search bar to locate your portfolio and click on the name to open it. This takes you to your portfolio Properties screen, where you can add properties to Property groups. You can see which groups a property belongs to listed in the Property groups column:

Go to the main menu
> Property groups.
This opens the Property groups screen, where you can see your properties organized into groups you assign them to. You can create bulk rates, and vouchers, to assign to specific property groups. You can create base rates, dependent rates, and vouchers from the Property groups screen, that apply only to properties in the group(s) you select. You can create rates and vouchers in bulk, to apply to all the properties in your property group(s), without needing to access the individual properties. To create a base rate, I.e., an independent rate, for your Property group:

In your portfolio account, go to the main menu
> Property groups.

Click to select the checkbox alongside the name of the property group(s) you want to create a base rate for. In the blue bar that appears, click
. This opens the following window:

Fill in the following fields. Fields marked with * are mandatory:
- Visibility*: Select Private or Public. Public rates are visible, and anyone can book them, while private rates are only accessible through vouchers. You can learn more about private and public rates here.
- Name*: Enter the name of the rate.
- Short Name: Enter a short name that Mews uses when there is limited space, such as in reports.
- External name: Enter a name for your rate to use in customer emails and the booking engine.
- Description: Enter a description to display in the Mews Booking Engine.
- Enabled: Check the checkbox to enable the rate. Note: You can create rates and enable them in the future.
- Rate group key*: Choose the rate group from the drop-down. It is a unique identification code to map the rate group across properties. Note: This shows you a list of keys, corresponding to rate groups, created during the onboarding process.
- Business segment key: Choose from the drop-down. This unique identification code maps the same business segment across properties. Note: You can see a list of keys, corresponding to Business segments, created during the onboarding process. You need to first select a Rate group key. If no Business segment key exists for your selected properties, this field is disabled.
- Accounting category key: Choose from the dropdown. This unique identification code maps the same accounting category across your properties. Note: You can see a list of keys, corresponding to Accounting categories, created during the onboarding process. You need to first select a Rate group key. If no Accounting category key exists for your selected properties, this field is disabled.
- Base price*: Enter the base price of your rate, in numbers. It uses the currency of the properties.
- Rate key: Enter a unique identification code to map the rate across properties.
- Ordering: Choose the position you want this rate to occupy from a list of all rates.

Click Create. You can see the following confirmation message:
You can find your base rate(s) displayed on the Rates screen.
To create a dependent rate, I.e., a rate that depends on the price of an existing rate, for your Property group:

In your portfolio account, go to the main menu
> Property groups.

Click to select the checkbox alongside the name of the property group(s) you want to create a dependent rate for. In the blue bar that appears, click
. This opens the following window:

Fill in the following fields. Fields marked with * are mandatory:

Note: You can see a list of keys, corresponding to Accounting categories, created during the onboarding process. You need to first select a Rate group key. If no Accounting category key exists for your selected properties, this field is disabled.
- Base rate key*: Choose a base rate key from the drop-down menu to determine the base rate for this dependent rate.
- Absolute adjustment*: Enter a specific amount which determines the price, that the system adjusts from the selected base rate. For example, if your base rate price is 90 and you enter '-10', Mews adjusts the price to 80. Note: The system uses property currency.
- Relative adjustment*: Enter a percentage. This determines the price the system adjusts from the selected base rate. For example, if your base rate price is 90 and you enter '-10', Mews adjusts the price to 81. Note: You can add both absolute and relative adjustments to the same rate.
- Rate key: Enter a unique identification code to map the rate across properties.
- Ordering: Choose the position you want this rate to occupy from a list of all rates.

Click Create. You can see the following confirmation message:
You can find your dependent rate(s) displayed on the Rates screen.
To create a voucher for your property group(s):

In your portfolio account, go to the main menu
> Property groups.

Click to select the checkbox alongside the name of the property group(s) you want to create a voucher for. In the blue bar that appears, click
. This opens the following window:

Fill in the following fields. Fields marked with * are mandatory:
- Voucher name*: Enter a name for your voucher.
- Voucher key: Enter a unique identification code to map the voucher across your properties.
- Company key: Enter a unique identification code to map a company to the voucher.
- For reservations from: Choose the start date for your voucher.
- For reservations to: Choose the end date for your voucher.
- Assigned rate keys*: Click to choose from the dropdown the rate key you want to assign to your voucher. You can learn more about vouchers in Mews here.

Click Create. You can see the following confirmation message:
You can find your voucher(s) displayed on the Vouchers screen.
Import existing rates and vouchers
You can upload the rates you are currently using in your properties to your portfolio account, using the function on the Rates screen. You can then upload the rates using the Excel rates import template. You can use this function to bulk import rates for specific property groups, to standardize rates across multiple properties and groups of properties.
