In Mews, the system automatically generates a default rate which you can modify to suit your needs. You can also make another rate your default rate. You can create both;
- Rates that are independent, called Base rates, and
- Rates that depend on the price of an existing rate, called Dependent rates
Before you can create a rate, you need to create the rate group it belongs in. You can also choose your rates to be:
- Public, that are visible to anyone and they can book them through Mews and any connected channel, or
- Private, which are not bookable through Mews or the Mews Booking Engine unless there is a connected voucher. For example, special offer rates that guests can book using a specific code or corporate negotiated rates specific to company contracts. Note: You can make these rates bookable through distribution channels by mapping to a channel manager.
Mews allows you to create as many as 80 public rates and unlimited private rates with the Enterprise subscription. You can learn more about quotas in the Quotas in Mews Operations help article.
