Types of vouchers
You can create three types of vouchers in Mews Operations:
- Public : These vouchers are available to your guests for them to apply in your booking engine when making a reservation. For example, a ‘Valentine’s Day voucher’ with a Valentine’s rate access code.
- Company : You can assign these vouchers or special rates to a specific company. For example, 10% discount for all employees of Company X.
- You can use this voucher type in the New reservation screen in Mews.
- You can also apply this voucher to all bookings that come through your booking engine, from employees of a certain company with that voucher code, for the specified duration.
- Travel agency : You can assign these vouchers or special rates to a specific travel agency. They can then make all bookings with this specific discount, for the specified duration.
Note: You cannot link a voucher to both a company and a travel agency.
The New reservation screen shows public vouchers only.
- On assigning a Company or Travel agency to the reservation, if there is a voucher attached to it, Mews automatically displays the rates assigned to the company or travel agency voucher also.
- You don't need to select the specific voucher anymore.
