How to redeem a Mews Gift Voucher in Mews Operations

Redeeming a Mews Gift Voucher means applying its value toward a guest’s bill. Front office employees redeem vouchers when a guest uses a Mews Gift Voucher to pay for part or all of their stay or other services. This action takes place during check out or while settling the bill in Mews Operations. Redeeming the voucher deducts the amount from the bill and records it in the property’s financial reports.

 

 

To redeem a Mews Gift Voucher in Mews Operations:

1. In Mews Operations,
• Go to the main menu   > Profiles > Customer profiles, then click the name of the customer whose profile you want to modify, or
• enter a customer’s name into the dashboard search bar, then click to go to their profile.
2. Click the Billing tab. Find the bill you want to settle.
3. Click the More actions icon next to Process payment.
4. Click to select Add external payment.
5. Click to select Redeem Mews Gift Voucher from the list of payment methods.
6. Enter the voucher code exactly as it appears.
7. Speak to the guest to confirm the voucher value, and click Add to apply the voucher value as payment.

 

The voucher amount appears as a payment line on the bill. If the voucher covers the full balance, the bill closes automatically. If not, process the remaining balance using the guest’s preferred payment method.
