How to create a discount code in Mews Gift Voucher

Creating a discount code means setting up a promotional offer that guests applywhen purchasing a voucher. You create discount codes in Mews Gift Voucher when you want to increase sales with seasonal promotions, special campaigns, or limited time offers. You complete this action in Mews Gift Voucher before making vouchers available to guests in the online shop.

 

To create a discount code:

1. In Mews Gift Voucher, click Design & create > Discounts.
2. Click Create new.
3. Complete the following fields:
   • Percentage: the discount deducts a percentage off the voucher.
   • Fixed: The discount deducts a fixed amoutn  off the voucher.
• Name: Enter the name of the discount
• Code: Enter a code for guests to use during checkout. For example, 10OFF
• Type: Click the dropdown to select the type of disount:
• Value: Enter the value of the discount
• Limit: Enter the amount of uses the discount code can be used.
4. Click create. This activates the discount.

 

When you create the discount, guests enter the code during purchase to receive the reduced price.

 

Note: Guests must enter the discount code at the time of purchase. Guests cannot apply the code to completed orders.
