How to create a discount code in Mews POS

Discount codes can help you attract new customers, reward loyalty, and boost your sales effectively. You can create discount codes in Mews POS with your administrator user account via the web Dashboard. 

 

 

To create a promo code in Mews POS,

1. In the web Dashboard, click Products.
2. Click Discounts, then click  .
3. This opens a side-window with the New discount form.
4. Fill in the following details:
• Promo code: Type in the discount code. This is the code your guests need to enter during checkout when ordering digitally.
• Select the Type of your promo code. Note: If you apply a Fixed amount discount, enter the exact discount amount. For example, enter “10” to give a 10 Euro discount. If you apply a Percentage discount, enter the amount as a percentage. For example, enter “5” if you want to give a 5% discount. 
• Amount: Enter the discount amount.
5. Channel: Choose one of the following,
•  POS: To enable the promo code on the app only.
•  E-commerce: To enable the promo code for order & pay.
•  All channels: To enable the promo code both in the app and for order & pay.
6. The following two fields are optional:
• Starts at: Select when the promotion starts.
• Ends at: Select when the promotion ends. Note: It’s not possible to use the promo code after it expires. 
7. Max usages: Add a maximum number of usages in this field to limit the number of code usages. Note: This option applies to the webshop only.
8. Description: Describe your promotion in the Mews POS Android app. The description shows in the cart after your customer adds the code and appears as the name when added to the shortcut grid.
9. Click the Active slider switch to activate or deactivate the promo code.
10. Click Save.
