Parent space is occupied - Lock software error message

The error message "You can not issue a copy of a subspace if the whole or parent space is occupied in the lock software." occurs in lock software that can handle parent and child spaces, and a child space is also set up as a parent space.

If a key is set up for both parent and child spaces in your lock software, you cannot create a key for the child space when there is already a valid key for parent space.

To prevent the error message, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Main Menu > Marketplace > My subscriptions.
  2. Go to your key cutter integration > Key cutters.
  3. Check that child and parent keys are set up separately.
  4. Go to the lock software app.
  5. Check that child and parent keys are set up to match what you have in Mews.
