The Mews Compliance Suite helps Czech properties meet their accommodation tax and fiscal obligations. In Czechia, it includes Tax Automation, Tax Intelligence, and the EET 2.0 integration for electronic registration of sales. You purchase the Compliance Suite once from the Mews Marketplace and then choose which features and integrations to use.
Note: The EET 2.0 integration is in development. The dates in this article are based on the current legislative text, which has not yet been formally published.
In this article, you can learn about:
Tax Intelligence
Tax Intelligence is a dashboard and report in Mews Operations under the main menu > Finance > Tax Intelligence. It shows the accommodation fees you collected and the exemptions you applied, and gathers the data your municipality usually asks for.
- Dashboard: person nights, both taxable and exempt, a breakdown of tax collected by rate, and a month-by-month trend.
- Monthly report: tax collected, occupancy, including room nights, person nights, and arrivals, and accommodation revenue split into taxable and exempt.
- Exemption log: exempt stays, guests, and person nights grouped by reason, with a line for each guest.
- Flexible and exportable: filter by week, month, quarter, or a custom period, and export to PDF or Excel.
Note: The report only includes stays where all bills are closed. Each stay is counted in the month of check-out.

Tax Automation
The accommodation fee in Czechia, the poplatek z pobytu, is set by each municipality, and rates and exemptions can change. Tax Automation generates the right tax configuration for your property and keeps it up to date.
- Set up in minutes: in Mews Operations, go to the main menu > Settings > Property > Finance > Tax Configuration, open the Tax automation tab, and enter your address, latitude and longitude, and property details. The star rating and category, such as 4 stars Superior, matter most, because they can change which taxes apply.
- Configuration generated for you: Mews works with a specialist tax data provider to find the taxes that apply to your property.
- Always up to date: when a tax authority publishes a change, your rates update automatically. You do not need to check anything manually.

The EET 2.0 integration
Czechia is bringing back electronic registration of sales, known as EET 2.0. Every payment a guest makes in person at your property has to be reported to the Czech Tax Administration when it happens. Mews is building the EET 2.0 integration into the Compliance Suite.
Which payments are covered:
- Reported: cash, card payments at reception or at the point of sale, QR payments made on site, and similar in-person methods.
- Not reported: bank transfers, online payments through the booking engine, virtual cards from online travel agencies, and invoices paid remotely.
What the integration does:
- Real-time reporting: each in-person payment is sent to the Tax Administration at the moment of payment, not when the bill is closed.
- Confirmation code stored: Mews saves the confirmation code the Tax Administration returns for each payment and shows it on the receipt when a guest asks for one.
What you need to do: before you can report payments, register in the Tax Administration's data box, the DIS or Daňová informační schránka. There you get your premises ID, the id_jednotky, and a valid certificate. Registration is expected to open on 1 November 2026.
Key dates:
| Date | Milestone |
|---|---|
| 1 November 2026 | DIS registration opens, expected |
| 1 January 2027 | Pilot and voluntary period starts |
| 1 February 2027 | EET 2.0 is mandatory for all in-scope payments |
Disabling Tax Automation
You can disable Tax Automation at any time. Disabling it does not stop your Compliance Suite subscription, and the other integrations in your Compliance Suite stay unchanged.
- Your configuration is deleted. Your accommodation tax rates are no longer updated automatically, so you need to check and update them yourself in Mews Operations under the main menu > Settings > Property > Finance > Tax configuration. Tax Intelligence stays available in Finance as long as the Compliance Suite is active.
- To enable it again, open the same Tax automation tab and set it up again as you did the first time.
To stop paying, delete the Compliance Suite from the Marketplace. To learn how the Compliance Suite works and what to check before you make a change, see Managing the Mews Compliance Suite.
