You can set up hourly services in Mews. This helps you to sell the same space multiple times a day, increasing your revenue for the existing inventory. Your guests can get hourly access to your meeting rooms, event spaces, parking spots, or bikes. You can manage reservations for these services booked by the hour directly from Mews Operations or let guests book it themselves as a promoted service through the Mews Booking Engine and Guest Portal. This streamlines your reporting, too.

Booking hourly reservations
To make a reservation for an hourly service, read the step-by-step instructions here. Mews supports an hourly view of the timeline, giving you a good overview of the occupancy per day.
Guests can book hourly services for themselves in the Mews Booking Engine or during online check-in. Learn more here.
Note:
- Guests can only book your services for one or more full hours, for example, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. or from 11:00 a.m. to 7 a.m.
- Guests can book hourly services past midnight, for example, from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Occupancy overview
You can view the hourly bookings in your Timeline.
- Click on the
Timeline icon to access the Timeline.
- Select to view the Timeline by ‘Hours’ from the drop-down as below.
- Click on the
Filter icon.
- In the Select service filter, choose a bookable service that you want to check the occupancy for.
- Choose the rest of the filters as required.
- Click the View timeline button.
You can now see an overview of your day and all the hourly reservations for your selected service.
Managing pricing
- You can offer a price per hour. You can learn how to manage the pricing details of a rate here.
- You can adjust the price for specific days and hours, for example, a different rate during the weekend or during the evening.
Restrictions
You can set restrictions for your reservations on a daily and hourly basis. For example, if you want to set a meeting room available only from Monday to Friday, between 9am to 7pm.
Billing considerations
When you create a bill, Mews displays hours separately on the bill, unless you selected the option to Bill as package. The bills display the date and the starting hour as one item on the bill.
