The Comps & Voids report in Mews POS is an overview of comps and voids that you process when taking orders. It contains all information on these losses and provides a breakdown such as reason, revenue center, users and more. When you access the report, you can use it to analyze your performance of losses via comps and voids. This is useful for gaining insight into your financial operations and how they impact your restaurant operations performance.
Note: Only users with ‘Can view reports’ permissions can view and download the report. You can review user roles in Settings > Roles.
Understanding the fields in the Comps & Voids report
To access the Comps & Voids report from the Mews POS web dashboard:
- Click Reports.
- Click Comps & Voids.
- The system displays the Comps & Voids report. Note: The system displays the current day's data by default.
- Click the drop-down containing the date range to set the time frame for the report filter.
- Search and filter the Comps & Voids report according to the following fields:
- All outlets: Click the drop-down to select an outlet. Mews POS displays results for that outlet.
- All registers: Click the drop-down to select a register. Mews POS displays results for that register.
- Categories: Click the drop-down to select a product category. Mews POS displays results for that product category.
The Comps & Voids report is separated by comp or void. The report is broken down by:
- Revenue center: The revenue center where you process the comp or void.
- Reason: The reason you select in the system for the comp or void.
- Cashier: The user who processes the comp or void.
- Count: The number of times the user uses the comp or void reason.
- Product categories: The various product categories you configure in Mews POS, for example, Beer, Red wine, Food. The report displays the amount of loss you incur for each product category.
- Total: The total loss you incur for each reason across all product categories.
This accesses the Comps & Voids report. You can use this information to assess any business losses.
