What data does the Amadeus GMS integration sync between Mews and Amadeus GMS?

Reservations

Mews syncs past, present, and future reservations during the Amadeus GMS onboarding. Once you set the integration live, Mews syncs reservation updates, cancellations, and new reservations close to real-time. The integration syncs the following:

 

  • Reservation details:
    • Reservation owner name
    • Booking reference
    • Dates of stay
    • Room category
    • Number of adults
    • Number of children
    • Room description in your property default language
    • Rate booked and rate description in your property default language
    • Total price of booking
  • Reservation status:
    • Created
    • Checked in
    • No Show
    • Canceled

Note: Mews does not send Check out status to Amadeus GMS. If you have a loyalty program, you can trigger Award Points X hours after reservation end, instead of relying on Check out status message from Mews.

 

  • Reservation source of business: Mews syncs the below sources along with confirmation numbers. This can be helpful when creating Award points rules in Amadeus GMS, for example, awarding points to specific business sources.
    • OTA
    • GDS
    • CRS
    • PMS, for example, Mews

Note: Mews receives the same sources of business from iHotelier. The system maps from iHotelier-Mews-GMS.

 

  • Add-ons: Mews does not support add-ons sync to Amadeus GMS. If the customer books any additional products along with the reservations, Mews sends a total price without a breakdown. For example, if the night costs EUR 100 and breakfast costs EUR 20, Mews sends EUR 120 without details.
  • Booked add-ons: The system adds booked add-ons as comments to the guest confirmation email.

 

Customer profiles

  • The integration syncs customer profiles two-way between Mews and Amadeus GMS. During the integration onboarding, Mews syncs all customer profiles to Amadeus GMS. Note: Amadeus GMS does not support an initial customer profile push to Mews.
  • Once you set the integration live, Mews syncs new customer profiles along with newly booked reservations. Mews does not support customer profile sync for customers with no active reservations.
  • When you create, update, merge, or delete a customer profile in Amadeus GMS, the integration automatically syncs the data to Mews.
  • The integration merges profiles from Mews to Amadeus GMS for active reservations only.

If you have customer profiles in both Mews and Amadeus GMS and want to connect the integration, you need to match databases to avoid customer profile duplicates.

  • Properties that connected iHotelier integration before 14 Oct 2024 and have data in Amadeus GMS need to ask iHotelier to re-push reservations into Mews.
    • This allows Mews to update customer profiles with the iHotelier ID, which Amadeus GMS also uses.
    • During Amadeus GMS onboarding, the system automatically links Mews and Amadeus GMS profiles with the iHotelier ID. This process avoids the creation of duplicates.
  • Properties that connected iHotelier integration after 14 Oct 2024 have iHotelier IDs stored in Mews profiles.
    • During Amadeus GMS onboarding, the system automatically links Mews and Amadeus GMS profiles with the iHotelier ID. This process avoids the creation of duplicates.

Loyalty
