Automatically report invalid payment cards
To automatically report invalid payment cards, turn on automatic invalid credit card reporting:
- To automatically notify Booking.com about invalid payment cards.
- So that, Booking.com contacts guests who attempt to pay with invalid cards and request that they update their payment method.
- To disable all invalid cards, ether physical or virtual, in Mews, with a added note to the payment screen.
- In the Marketplace, go to My subscriptions.
- Locate your Booking.com integration and click on Edit to go to the settings page.
- Under Enabled operations, select Report invalid credit card.
- Click Save.
Automatically put canceled rooms back up for sale on Booking.com
Booking.com has a feature called "Auto-replenishment" that puts canceled rooms back up for sale on Booking.com. This helps properties to sell more because they can automatically offer maximum availability.
There are two types of auto-replenishment:
- Default auto-replenishment: When a reservation is canceled, your property's availability is automatically adjusted and the cancelled room is put back on sale for those dates. This always happens, and cannot be disabled.
- make sure you update/cancel reservations directly in the Booking.com extranet, and
- mark reservations as no-shows in both Mews and the Booking.com extranet at the same time.
- Reopen closed rooms auto-replenishment: If you activate this setting, all canceled rooms are auto-replenished, even if the property has closed sales for that date. You can manage this in the Booking.com extranet.
You can learn more about Booking.com's auto-replenishment here.
Download reservations by ID
If you need to download specific reservations from Booking.com, for example, if you notice a mistake after you imported reservations, you can download them by channel manager ID.
Note:
- It is important not to trigger this operation multiple times within a short period.
- Subsequent manual reservation downloads should be done after the bookings from the first download have entered the system.
- Otherwise, there is the risk that the pulled reservations have the same confirmation number in Mews. You can see the status of it in the Channel Manager Queue.
To download reservations by ID:
- Go to the main menu
> Marketplace > My subscriptions.
- Locate your Booking.com integration, and click on Edit to go to the settings page.
- Click Manual actions.
- Under Input, enter the channel manager ID of the reservations you want to download. If you have more than one reservation to download, you should enter IDs and separate them by comma, for example: 5418968, 141417888.
- Click Download.
