The Check-out report shows you all the bookings that are due and ready for check-out so you can have an overview of what reservations end, which guests are departing, and if there are any bills to settle before check-out. You can also use the report to check out multiple reservations at once. The Check-out report is only available for Pro and Enterprise subscriptions.


To view the Check-out report, in Mews Operations, go to the main menu Screenshot_2.png > Reservations > Check-out report.

If there are any upcoming or missed departures, you can open the report from the Dashboard, in the Reservations section and click on the Remaining departures or Missed departures.

Understanding the fields in the report

Reservations available for check-out

In this section, you can view all bookings that are due and ready for check-out. Note: The system doesn’t list a booking here if there are any companions with a remaining balance to settle on their accounts. 

  • Choose the Service you would like to see check-outs for.
  • Click Select all to check out multiple reservations at once.

Although the balance on these bookings is 0, many of them may still have items on the bill that you need to close. When you click Check out, the system does the following:

  • Checks out all the rooms.
  • Turns the rooms to "Dirty" if they were not already turned to dirty overnight.
  • Closes all items on open bills. Note: If you don't allocate items to a bill during check-in, the system cannot close them, as it doesn't know where to move items before closing them.
 

Reservations not available for check-out

In this section, you can view any reservations with an outstanding balance.

  • Each booking has the icon that takes you straight to the billing screen of that guest, allowing you to resolve any open payments or billing issues quickly.
  • As long as you move all items into a bill, you do not need to close the bill. You can simply skip back into the report, which refreshes and moves the items to the Reservations available for check-out section.

Once the system moves all bookings to the Reservations available for check-out section, you can:

  1. Select one or multiple reservations.
  2. Click on Check out to process the reservation check-outs.
