They help decrease manual front-office tasks, so that the staff can focus on the guest, while driving increased revenue through upsells and automatic early check-in fees. Mews Kiosks also shorten guest waiting times by providing a contact-free experience during check in and check out increasing guest satisfaction. If sustainability is one of your main goals, digital receipts and registration cards help minimize paper waste.
Additionally, with the Mews Kiosk you can:
- Easily set up the kiosk by scanning a QR code.
- Search for reservations by typing in the last name and the confirmation number or scanning a QR code.
- Customize required registration fields during check in.
- Add products or charge guests for early check in to increase additional revenue.
- Personalize the kiosk with your custom screensaver, images, and selecting a dark or light colour theme.
- Enable future direct communication with all guests including those booking through travel agencies, since check in requires the reservation owner email.

Kiosk check-in
You can give your guests the choice to check themselves in on arrival with kiosk check-in. Mews automatically adds all the information that guests complete during a kiosk check-in to their Customer Profile in Mews Operations.
Guests can check in through the kiosk to:
- Check in early for a fee
- Complete and sign registration cards
- Add products to their reservation
- Pay for their stay via a connected Mews Terminal
- Cut their own room keys without supervision or assistance
- Choose a specific space that suits their preferences or upgrade to another
- Scan their identity document
- Take a photo of themselves to verify their identity
Key cutting
Guests checked in can directly cut keys from the kiosk or if they lost their keys by clicking Get room keys on the kiosk. If the reservation is already checked in, the guest needs to enter their confirmation number before they can cut a new key. Note: This is only available If you set up and connect a key cutter to your kiosk.
Kiosk check-out
Guests can check themselves out quickly and easily with the kiosk and avoid front desk queues. They can enter their name and space number and pay for their bill.
