How to promote your other bookable services along with stay in Mews Operations

You can offer your guests the option to enhance their stay by promoting your other bookable services, such as parking, meeting rooms, or bikes, during online booking or online check-in.

You first need to set up your bookable services in Mews Operations to promote them in the “Make your stay remarkable” section of the booking process or within the online check-in flow.

 

Guests can book your promoted services: 

  • For the entire stay duration, for example, parking. 
  • For a selected interval within the main reservation period, for example co-working spaces. 
  • For one or more full hours, such as meeting rooms, or bikes. You can learn more about hourly services here. 

The system groups the booked promoted service into the same reservation group as the stay in Mews Operations.

 

Note: 

  • Guests can view only services available for the requested period. 
  • Guests can also book the stay and the other promoted service for separate dates as standalone reservations through Mews Operations. 
  • If guests cancel the main stay reservation, Mews does not automatically cancel other bookable services booked along with the stay. You need to do this manually for the guest.

 

To promote your bookable services to your guests:  

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu  > Settings > Services.  
  2. Click on your stay service i.e., the bookable service you use for your stay reservations, such as Stay or Accommodation.  
  3. Click on Service promotions and then click + Add new promotion. You can learn more about creating new bookable services here.

  1. Click the Enabled slider switch to enable the service promotion. Note: You can temporarily deactivate the offering by clicking the switch again.
  2. Promoted service *: Click to select the service you want to promote from the drop-down menu.  

    You cannot promote services:
    • Which do not have space categories, and  
    • Have a longer bookable period than your main stay service. For example, you cannot promote monthly services along with your main stay that is bookable by the night.
  1. Promoted space category: Click to select the space category to promote along with your stay service.
  2. Promoted rate: Click to select a promoted rate for your space category. Note: You can set up service promotions with public rates only. You can learn more about creating a rate here. 
  3. Description: View the description of your space category. Note: Guests can view the space category image and description in the Mews Booking Engine and during online check-in. You can learn about how to modify the description and add images to your space category here.

  1. In the Offer to customer * section, check the following boxes:
    • In booking engine: To offer the service in the Mews Booking Engine.
    • During online check-in: To offer the service during online check-in.
  2. Promotion limit *: Click to select the maximum number of services your guests can add to their stay.
    • 1 per guest in main reservationGuests can add up to one per guest. For example, if five guests book three different rooms, they can book up to five bikes along with their accommodation.
    • 1 per main reservationGuests can add only one per reservation.
    • 1 per space in main reservationGuests can add up to one per reserved space. For example, if guests reserve two rooms, they can add up to two parking spots to their reservation.
    • No limit: Guests can add any number from your promoted space category, depending on availability.

Note: The system adjusts the reserved services to match the promotion limit when the number of guests or spaces decreases. For example, with a promotion limit of "1 per space in main reservation", when a reservation for two rooms and two parking spots reduces to one room, Mews adjusts the number of parking spots to one. 

  1. Promotion period *: For daily and nightly services, click to select the duration for which guests can book the service.
    • Same as the main reservation (non-editable): Guests book the service for the entire period of their reservation.
    • Selectable within the main reservation period: Guests can select a booking interval within the main reservation period.
  2. Ordering *: Add a number to set the order your service displays for the guest. The lower the number, the higher the service appears. For example, a service with an ordering of '0' shows first, then the service with an ordering of '1' or a higher number. Note: If multiple services share the same ordering number, the newest created service promotion appears at the top of the list.
  3. Click Create.

 

Guests can now add the promoted service:

  • From the "Make your stay remarkable" section of the booking process in the Mews Booking Engine.

  • In the "Make your stay remarkable" step of the online check-in process.

Note: With hourly services, guests can also select the available time slot for their service
