The Device commands queue shows the status of all commands that Mews Operations sends to devices enabled through Mews Connector.
To view the Device commands queue, go to the main menu > Queues > Device commands.
In this article you can learn about the following in the Device commands queue:
Setting the filters
- Device: Drop-down menu of all devices connected to your Mews property management system via Mews Connector.
- Status: Select the item status types you want to view:
- Canceled: The system automatically cancels an item unprocessed within 24 hours.
- Error: A failed item usually because of an unknown connection problem.
- Pending: Waiting for processing. If the item remains unprocessed within 24 hours, the system automatically cancels it.
- Processed: Command was successfully processed and completed.
- Processing: Item in progress.
- Received: The system received the command but is awaiting processing.
- Start: Select a start date and time to restrict results to a specific time period.
- End: Select an end date and time to restrict results to a specific time period.
Understanding the fields
- Device: Name of the device as provided during initial set up. You can click on the device name to edit any device details.
- Integration: Name of the integration as provided during initial set up. You can click on the integration name to edit any integration details.
- Data: If the command details pertain to a specific stay, a link to the closed bill or booking is available here. This includes the confirmation number, reservation owner, date of arrival, date of departure as wells as the assigned space. You can click this link to open the closed bill or booking details in the reservations management screen.
- Created: Date and time of the command's creation along with the name of the person creating it.
- Updated: Date and time that of the command's most recent update.
- Status: Current status of the command, displayed in a badge with the appropriate Mews action color.
- Notes: If the command has an error status, this column may provide additional details based on the reason for failure.
Notifications
In the event any commands were not successful, users receive a notification of this failure. The notifications include any additional details as to the reason for failure. Notifications bear the corresponding device command icon.
Note:
- The system notifies users about failed items only, which indicates that those items require an action.
- This means all successful commands were automatically processed and completed upon receipt.
