How to cancel stay products?

You can cancel stay products, i.e., products attached to your bookable services in a reservation, from the Items tab of the reservation. You can learn more about products attached to bookable services here.

To cancel a stay product:

  1. Click on the Items tab in the reservation you want to cancel the products from.
  2. In the Product orders section, locate the product you want to cancel and click Cancel.

Sometimes, you may need to cancel stay products attached to your bookable services, for example, the breakfast on the guest’s request or a city tax if you set it up as a product and the guest is exempt. You can learn more about creating products in Mews Operations here.

You can cancel stay products from the Items tab of the reservation.

Note: The system creates a rebate when you cancel an item outside the editable history window. It is an expected system behavior. For example, when you cancel a no-show after the editable history window expires, the system automatically creates a night rebate even though there are no set cancellation fees. 

To cancel a stay product in Mews Operations:

  1. Click on the Items tab in the reservation you want to cancel the products from.
  2. In the Product orders section, locate the product you want to cancel.
  3. Click Cancel.

The product’s status will automatically update to Canceled.
