How to change your legal entity information in Mews

When your property changes its legal entity, you need to update this information in Mews. This ensures that Mews can process payouts correctly and that your property complies with legal and financial regulations, as confirmed by the Know Your Business (KYB) process. You complete this update in Mews before the new legal entity begins operations.

What you need before requesting the change

Gather the following information before you start the process:

  • Your 5-digit subscription ID. To retrieve it, in Mews Operations, go to the main menu   > Settings > Property, and you can find it in the Subscription section.

  • The name and email of the current entity’s company representative, and those of the new one. These can be the same person.

  • If someone other than the new entity’s representative is authorized to upload documents, provide their name and email as the Know Your Business (KYB) contact.

How to submit the request

To submit your request, use the Legal Entity Change form.

Note: If only the company name changes but the tax ID and registration number remain the same, Mews only requires an official business register extract confirming the update. Follow these steps:

  1. Select C: Entity name change in the form.
  2. Submit the request.

Mews contacts you to request the document.

What happens after submission

After Mews receives the request:

  1. The Mews team reviews your request and emails you if they need more information.
  2. The Mews team sends you an agreement. Both the current and new entity representatives must complete and sign it.
  3. Once signed, Mews processes the document. If there are any issues, you receive a request for clarification via email.
  4. After processing, the new entity must complete the KYB process using the Mews Onboarding Portal

The processing time depends on each case, but responses typically arrive within 48 business hours.

Note: For urgent requests, include the reason, due dates, and relevant details in the Additional Information section of the Legal Entity Change form.
