How to change your Mews user account information in the Mews app

You can change or update your account information directly from the Mews app when you want to, for example update your phone number, user photo, change the system language or turn the two-factor authentication for enhanced security. Updating your user account information in the Mews app also updates your information in Mews Operations.  

 

To change your user account information in the Mews app:   

  1. In the Account tab, tap on Account. 


  1. This opens the Account screen, which contains three tabs. 
  2. In the Profile tab, you can update your personal user information, user photo, or contact info. Tap Save to update your information. Note: To modify either the email address or username, currently you need to remove the user and create a new user account. You can learn how to add or remove a user in Mews Operations here. 

 

  • To upload your user photo, tap Upload photo. You can then take a new photo or add an image from your phone gallery. 

Note:    

  • The maximum upload photo size is 5MB.    
  • This image is visible to guests and other users. Mews reserves the right to use the image at discretion, for example, displaying it to guests when messaging and to delete inappropriate pictures.   
  • To remove your existing user photo, tap Remove. 
  • In the Personal info section, you can add or updated your personal information such as your name, date and place of birth, nationality or sex. 
  • In the Contact info section, you can change your telephone number. 
  1. In the Preferences tab, you can update your language and region settings. Tap Save to update your preferences. 

 

 

  • Language: Tap to select the system language. 
  • Date and price format: Tap to select the format for date and pricing. 
  1. In the Privacy and security tab, you can adjust your login security measures and preferences. 

 

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA): Tap the slider switch to enable two-factor authentication. When enabled, you need to use an authenticator app, such as Google authenticator to secure your account. Mews requires both your password and an authentication code to sign into your Mews account.   • Password: Tap to change your password. You need to enter your current password before creating a new one. Note: Mews recommends you use a strong, unique password, consisting of letters, numbers and special characters.
