Understanding “Orders” on the Mews Dashboard

Orders on the Mews dashboard are orders from your guests, that are related to an additional service and added to the to the guests’ bill during their stay. 

  • When there are orders added to a bill, Mews displays them on the Mews dashboard, in the Orders to process section under Orders
  • Mews displays orders that are already processed on the dashboard, as Archived orders in the Nothing to be done section under Orders

Viewing orders to process 

To view orders to process: 

  1. On the Dashboard, click Orders to process. Mews lists orders to be processed under Current orders. Note: You can also click the notification when you receive a new order.
  2. Under the Service column, click on the name of the service to view order details. Note: You can also click the name of a customer to go to their customer profile. You can view the order details in the Orders section, under the Dashboard tab of the customer profile. 
 

Processing orders  

To process orders: 

  1. On the Dashboard, click Orders to process.
  2. To confirm or cancel an order, click on the title of the order. and in the top right corner, select either  to confirm or  to cancel, as seen below. 


Note: When you cancel an already paid for order, the cost of the order is rebated and the order itself is marked as canceled.  
 

Automatically confirm orders

You can automate the task of confirming orders. To automatically confirm an order:  

  1. Go to main menu Screenshot_2.pngSettings > Services and click on the service you would like to automate orders for.  
  2. Under Options, click on the "New orders automatically processed" option. Once you select this, you don’t have to manually confirm products. 

 Viewing archived orders

  1. On the Dashboard, click Nothing to be done. Mews lists your archived orders, i.e., orders which are already processed, under Archived orders
  2. Under the Service column, click on the name of a service to view the order details.
