How to find the IP address of a connected LAN printer for use with Mews POS

To set up a printer with Mews POS, your IT staff or onboarding team may require the printer’s IP address. This is essential for configuring the device in Mews POS. They can discover this by performing a self-test directly on the printer, which provides a report confirming the printer’s functionality and includes technical details like the IP address.

To perform a self-test from your printer:

1. Connect the printer via LAN cable to the router.
2. Turn off the printer.
3. Press the FEED button and while holding it, press ON to turn on the printer.
4. After the first  beep, release the FEED button.
5. The printer prints two reports.
6. Read the IP address from the second paper.
