Key information about due dates
Due dates are associated with most of the Mews University learning activities. How much time you have to complete the learning may differ depending on what content it is and how it was assigned to you, but here are some key rules:
- Auto-enrollments: When you log in to Mews University for the first time, you are auto-enrolled to learning paths based on your role or department. You have 14 days to complete this training.
- Self-enrollments: When you initiate training from the Catalog, the due date is set 30 days from the start.
- Enrollment by manager: Your manager may enroll you in additional training, with an optional due date set by them during enrollment.
Due dates for Required Learning
Due dates for required learning are mandatory and tracked by Mews. They're crucial for calculating overall training completions or assessing property readiness during the onboarding phase.
Due date for other learning (recommended, self-enrollments)
For non-required learning, due dates are merely recommended. Failure to complete such training before the due date does not lead to consequences.
FAQs
Q: Can I postpone the due date?
A: You cannot postpone due dates of required learning you we auto-enrolled into, or activities you were enrolled in by your manager. For activities you have self-enrolled into, you also may not be able to postpone the due date, but you can remove these from your “Plan” if you no longer wish to continue with the learning activity.
Q: What happens when my learning activity is overdue?
A: For required learning assigned by Mews, overdue activities may affect property readiness during onboarding. Properties that do not reach a required level of training completions may be prevented from going live.
Q: How do I identify required learning (and hence mandatory due dates)?
A: Required learning is listed in the "My Requirements" section, marked by an exclamation mark on the cover image and a due date displayed below it. Additionally, you can view a summary of your Required and Recommended learning in your "Plan".
Q: Can my manager postpone the due date for me?
A: Yes, your manager (if marked as your Supervisor in Mews Operations) can adjust due dates or enroll/unenroll you from learning activities in Mews University.
