You can use Billing automation in Mews Operations enables to set up rules to automatically create and assign bills to owners instead of guests. If you use Mews Kiosk, you need to change certain settings to ensure that guests do not see Online Travel Agency booking information, such as payout details. You need to use billing automation to move Online Travel Agency bills to a company bill they own instead of the guest.
To hide Online Travel Agency billing information from guests in Mews Kiosk:
- In Mews Operations, go to the main menu
> Settings > Property > Finance > Billing automations.
- Find the existing billing automation handling Online Travel Agency charges. Note: If no billing automation exists, create a new one following these steps.
- Click
> Edit.
- In the new screen, click Next.
- In the Items and Conditions screen,
- Under Conditions, click to select Reservations prepaid in online travel agency (OTA).
- Under Companies or travel agencies, click Edit, then search for the Online Travel Agency and click Link as travel agency.
- Click Save > Next.
- In the Target Bill screen, click Company Bill.
- Click to select how you want to group items on company bills:
- Group all moved items on one bill
- Create a separate bill for each reservation group
- Create a separate bill for each reservation
- Create a separate bill for each reservation owner
- Click Next > Update automation.
This assigns the Online Travel Agency as the bill owner which ensures the bill is no longer displayed under the guest’s profile in the Mews Kiosk.
