When you connect Mews POS to a reservation provider such as ResDiary, you can use Mews POS to efficiently manage guest bookings and reservations directly from the Mews POS Android app. By connecting a reservation provider with Mews POS, you can easily access and organize guest reservations, streamlining the check-in and dining experience. When guests check in, wait staff can use the Mews POS Android app to locate reservations made via your reservation provider and to open checks. When guests want to cancel a reservation, wait staff can use the Mews POS Android app to locate reservations and cancel them.
To cancel a reservation in the Mews POS Android app:
- Tap
. The system displays the Reservations window.
- To locate a Reservation:
- Tap the Upcoming tab, and locate the reservation from the list, or
- Tap Search, and enter the name of the guest.
- Tap on the reservation in the list to open it. The Reservation details screen appears.
- Tap Cancel reservation.
- Tap one of the following options:
- Guest called to cancel, or
- No show
- Tap Cancel reservation.
This cancels the guest’s reservation.
