Creating custom dashboards in Mews Business Intelligence Pro lets you organize and analyze hotel performance data in a way that fits your operational needs. You create custom dashboards to monitor the metrics most relevant to your business, combine different visualizations, and present performance data in a clear and structured view.
Hotel managers, revenue managers, finance teams, and operations staff use custom dashboards to review performance, compare properties, and analyze trends during daily checks, operational reviews, and management reporting in Mews Business Intelligence Pro within Mews Operations.

How to create custom dashboards in Mews Business Intelligence Pro

In Mews Operations, go to the main menu > Business Intelligence > Overview.

On the Mews Business Intelligence Pro main screen, select Create dashboard. This opens the dashboard editor with an empty dashboard canvas.
Step 1: Add an item to the dashboard

In the dashboard editor, drag a visualisation or item from the Drag to add list onto the dashboard canvas. You can select:
- New item: Select to add a new Visualisation, Filter, Column container, Visualisation switcher, or Rich text.
- Saved visualisation: Select to add a visualisation you have already created previously.

Type to enter the name of your new item in the search bar, and drag and drop the metrics you require. Hover over each item for more information.

While creating the item, you can select:
to undo or redo an action.
- Clear: Clear the metrics and settings to begin again.
- Cancel: Cancel the process and return to the previous screen.

Click Save.
This saves your item with its new metrics, so you can continue building your dashboard.
Creating an availability overview
For example, to create an availability overview:
- In the visualisation editor, search for Property name.
- Drag Property name into the rows section.
- Search for Available rooms.
- Drag Available rooms into the metrics section.
- Click Save.
You now see available rooms displayed for each property. This overview helps you compare room availability across multiple properties at a glance.
Step 2: Filtering your data
Add new filters to the dashboard
You can add new filters to the dashboard to filter the visualisations by, for example, date, and group by time.

In the dashboard editor, click and drag a Filter onto your dashboard:

Click to select what you want to filter by, for example, Accounting category.
This creates the new filter for your dashboard.
You can also set the default date filter for your dashboard.
To do so:

Click to open the Date filter.
- Select a time period, for example, This week, or Last month.
- Click Apply to apply the filter to limit the data range.
This filters your dashboard.
Continue adding visualisation and items until your dashboard contains the data you require.
Step 3: Save your custom dashboard
- In the dashboard editor, select Save.
The system saves your custom dashboard. You can now access it from the Custom dashboards section of the Business Intelligence Pro main screen.
