You edit a service’s property-level configuration in Mews Multi‑Property when a property needs local customisations that differ from the central service defaults. You do this to tailor the service details, configuration, or local settings - such as taxes or pricing, to meet the operational needs of an individual property. You make these changes from the Properties tab in a service’s side panel in Mews Multi‑Property.
In this article, you can learn about:
How to edit a service property-level configuration in Mews Multi‑Property
Step 1: Editing property-specific service details
- In Mews Multi‑Property, go to the main menu
> Services.
- Select a service to open the side panel.
- Go to the Properties tab.
- Click Edit alongside the property or click on the property to open its side panel and click Edit.
- In the Details step, update the relevant fields.
You can customise the name, short name, and description of the service for this specific property. For example, a property might want to display “Early check-in” as “Flexible arrival” on guest-facing platforms.

Step 2: Editing property-specific service configuration
- Continue to the Configuration step.
- Review and adjust settings such as arrival time, departure time, reservation options, or check-in type.
These updates override the central service defaults only for the selected property.
Note: You must fill in mandatory fields such as arrival and departure times.
- Click Next.
Step 3: Editing local settings for a service
- In the Local settings step, configure property-specific operational and financial settings.
- Depending on the bookable period, you can update:
- Taxes
- Documents
- Employee experience
- Accounting
- For example, you can add a higher city tax rate for a property located in a regulated zone.
- Click Save.
This saves your changes. You have now customised the service for the selected property without affecting the central settings or other properties in the portfolio.
