How to edit a service property-level configuration in Mews Multi‑Property

You edit a service’s property-level configuration in Mews Multi‑Property when a property needs local customisations that differ from the central service defaults. You do this to tailor the service details, configuration, or local settings - such as taxes or pricing, to meet the operational needs of an individual property. You make these changes from the Properties tab in a service’s side panel in Mews Multi‑Property.

Step 1: Editing property-specific service details 

  1. In Mews Multi‑Property, go to the main menu main menu > Services

  1. Select a service to open the side panel. 
  2. Go to the Properties tab. 
  3. Click Edit alongside the property or click on the property to open its side panel and click Edit

  1. In the Details step, update the relevant fields. 

You can customise the name, short name, and description of the service for this specific property. For example, a property might want to display “Early check-in” as “Flexible arrival” on guest-facing platforms.

  1. Click Next

 

Step 2: Editing property-specific service configuration 

  1. Continue to the Configuration step.

  1. Review and adjust settings such as arrival time, departure time, reservation options, or check-in type. 

These updates override the central service defaults only for the selected property. 

Note: You must fill in mandatory fields such as arrival and departure times. 

  1. Click Next.  

 

Step 3: Editing local settings for a service 

  1. In the Local settings step, configure property-specific operational and financial settings.

  • Depending on the bookable period, you can update: 
    • Taxes 
    • Documents 
    • Employee experience  
    • Accounting  
  • For example, you can add a higher city tax rate for a property located in a regulated zone. 
  1. Click Save.  

This saves your changes. You have now customised the service for the selected property without affecting the central settings or other properties in the portfolio.
