How to modify or delete a rate group in Mews Operations

You can use rate groups to optimize revenue management during both your high demand and low demand seasons. They provide flexibility since you can group rates using the same cancellation and payment policies together. You can modify or delete your rate groups at any time. A rate group needs to be empty before you can delete it. To empty a rate group, delete all the rates in it or move them to another rate group.  Once you delete a rate group, you cannot restore it.

How to modify a rate group 

1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu  > Settings > Services. 
2. Click your stay service, for example, Stay. 
3. Click Rate groups, then click the rate group you want to edit. 
4. In the side-window:
   • Click the Details tab, then click  to modify your rate group details.
   • Click the Policies tab:
     1. Under Configuration, click to modify the settings for all policies in this rate group, or
     2. Under Default policies, click  to modify the default cancellation and payment policies that apply to this rate group when there are no active exceptions.

     3. Under Policy exceptions, click   > Edit to modify the policy exceptions that apply to this rate group. Note: This feature is only available for properties on the Pro and Enterprise packages.   

         
   • Click the Rates tab > >  Edit to modify your rate details.

5. Click Save.  

This modifies the rate group details.  

 

How to delete a rate group 

1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu  > Settings > Services. 
2. Click your stay service, for example, Stay. 
3. Click Rate groups, then find the rate group you want to edit. Here you can:
   • Click the rate group name >  > Delete, or
   • Click in  the rate group row > Delete > Delete.

This deletes the rate group.
