How to sync Mews Operations spaces, space types and floors with Flexkeeping

In Mews Operations, you can copy the spaces, space types and floors to Flexkeeping automatically. As an administrator, you enable it in Flexkeeping for each Mews property after you connect the property. Your housekeeping and maintenance teams then see the same spaces as your front desk, and Flexkeeping applies changes from Mews within about one minute. You can only add and sync spaces with the following space category types: Room, Apartment, Bed, Dorm, Suite, Tent, Unequipped Campsite and Villa.

The sync is off for existing Mews properties until you enable it. For new Mews properties, it is on by default.

Prerequisites

You need administrator access to your property's Flexkeeping account to enable and configure the sync. Mews recommends that you decide in advance which information Mews manages, such as space names, space types or floors.

  1. In Flexkeeping, go to the main menu Main menu  > Marketplace.

  2. In the Mews integration, click Manage.

  3. Click Manage on the Mews property you want to update.

  4. In the new screen, click the Spaces tab, then click to enable the following:

    • Add and delete spaces to match Mews: When you add or delete a space in Mews Operations, the system automatically adds or deletes it in Flexkeeping. Note: The automation includes the associated floor and space type.

    • Space names: When you rename a space in Mews Operations, the system automatically renames it in Flexkeeping.

    • Space types: When you move a space to a different space type in Mews Operations, the system automatically moves it in Flexkeeping and uses that type's cleaning settings.

Note
  • Flexkeeping deletes a space only when you delete that space in Mews. Flexkeeping never deletes inactive spaces, space types or sectors.
  • Flexkeeping locks the fields that Mews manages in the Spaces, Space types and Sectors editors. A banner, icons and tooltips show which fields Mews manages.
