How to sync spaces from Mews Operations to Mews Events

You need to synchronize your property’s spaces between Mews Operations and Mews Events so that they appear correctly in event quotes. You do this in Mews Operations during onboarding or when adding new spaces to your property. Users with access to both Mews Operations and Mews Events can sync spaces. You cannot add spaces directly to Mews Events, you can only sync them from Mews Operations.

 


Note

  • You cannot sync meeting rooms from Mews Operations, you must add them manually in Mews Events.
  • The system synchronizes all space types with the “Seminar room” service in Mews Events, except for the following spaces which the system synchronizes with the Accommodation service in Mews Events:
    • Dorm
    • Room
    • Suite
    • Caravan or RV
    • Apartment
    • Villa

Modify spaces screen in Mews Events

To sync spaces from Mews Operations to Mews Events:

You can modify or add new spaces in Mews Operations at any time. To ensure these spaces are properly synched to Mews Events, follow these steps:

  1. In Mews Operations, go to the main menu Menu arrow right  > Settings > Services.
  2. Click to select the bookable service with the space you want to sync.
  3. Click Space categories, then click the space you want to sync.
  4. Verify that you have filled in and updated the following fields:
    • Description: Enter a description of the space which Mews Operations shares with Mews Events. Note: You also need to add a short description in Mews Events.
    • Upload image: Click or drag a file to upload an image of the space. This is requirement for the Mews Events booking engine.
    • Capacity: Enter the number of guests that each space in this category can accommodate. This can be different from the number of beds. Note: This syncs to the maximum occupancy per night for adults in Mews Events.
  5. Click Save.

This synchronizes spaces from Mews Operations to Mews Events.
